Most dog and cat owners visit traditional veterinary offices for all their pet’s medical needs, but having a personalized visit from your friendly, fully licensed and compassionate veterinarian may be just what the doctor ordered.

There was a time when our own medical needs were met by visiting doctors who made house calls for varying reasons. Maybe you were sick and couldn’t get out of bed to go to a hospital. Maybe you were elderly and didn’t have the means to drive yourself to a clinic. Maybe you were so busy and had a multiple children household and going to the doctor with kids in tow was out of the question.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if we still had traveling doctors who would cater to our own specific medical needs? How amazing would it be if we had a caring doctor who would come to you if you were too busy to drive to a clinic and didn’t have the time or the patience to sit all day in the waiting room? Wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t have to stress out our kids with gathering everyone to get to the hospital or even expose them to possible diseases that may be in the hospital environment?

Well, the days of traveling doctors are back, at least for our pets. We are called veterinary house call practices. We specialize in personalized attention to all your children (dogs and cats). We eliminate the hassle of transporting your pet to the animal clinic. We are for the busy moms juggling young children, pets and other appointment schedules. We are for the busy professionals with precious time constraints who can value the convenience and time saved with quality home service. We are a great option for a dog or cat in his or her later years with debilitating conditions, or who gets extremely anxious traveling in a car. Another time to use us may be during the end-of-life choice for your dog or cat. A caring, loving house call veterinarian can make this painful time less stressful for you and your pet. We can help you say good-bye in a familiar environment, with dignity and compassion in the home where he/she loved.

We are fully licensed and offer almost the same services as your traditional veterinary clinics. These include:

  • In-home physical exams
  • Routine vaccinations
  • Annual blood work
  • Heartworm tests
  • FELV/FIV tests
  • Fecals
  • Urinalysis
  • Ear / skin cytology
  • Allergy testing
  • Microchips
  • Puppy and kitten care
  • Senior pet care
  • Health certificates for sale and travel
  • Minor illnesses such as vomiting / diarrhea
  • Euthanasia
  • Food delivery
  • Medication delivery

Surgeries, hospitalization, X-Rays and certain other diagnostics are performed at an affiliated veterinary clinic.

So the next time you think about your caring friendly doctor who walks in carrying a small black medical bag, it may very well be your house call veterinarian coming for a personalized house call and making sure all your “pet children” are doing great and living healthy, happy and fulfilling lives!
