Our ice cream social cash mob is ON for Saturday at 2 p.m. Have no clue what I'm talking about? One of the businesses now gone long time Winter Park residents most talk about is the East India Ice Cream Shop. Well, I heard a few months ago that their same ice cream is now being served -- made from the same recipes and by the same guy! -- at Briarpatch restaurant on Park Avenue. A quick note on another Local business coming soon! You may have heard about the new restaurant / brewery concept coming from the couple behind The Ravenous Pig. It's the Cask & Larder, where Boathouse / Drake's was most recently. I got confirmation today that grand opening is scheduled for the week after Labor Day! That is another which is surely highly anticipated!

Today for Give A Dog A Home we have a truly sweet little girl named Sassy. Sassy is one of the special needs dogs being aided and placed by the AWESOME people with Lovey Loaves. Lovey Loaves identifies their mission as: We partner with caregivers of specially-abled dogs to assist in rehabilitation through funding and volunteering. Through community outreach, we aid in reuniting lost pets with their owners, as well as raise awareness to promote overall happier healthier lives for our pet population.
