The Rev. Al Sharpton and former New York Mayor David Paterson called for justice in the the shooting of Trayvon Martin.
Martin was gunned down while walking home on Feb. 26 by admitted shooter George Zimmerman. Citing self defense, Zimmerman was not charged by Sanford Police.
That led to a public outcry over the handling of the case that culminated in a rally in Sanford's Ft. Mellon Park on March 22, drawing thousands to call for Zimmerman's arrest.
"With no arrest, Trayvon's parents cannot rest," attorney Benjamin Crump said.
Crump introduced Sharpton, who had spoken out previously about what he called an injustice in the killing of Martin, who was unarmed when he was shot.
"Even if the cameras leave, we will not give up the fight," Sharpton said to the crowd.
Martin's father, Tracy Martin, said that his son would have stood up for justice if given the chance.
"If he were alive today, he would be at this rally," Martin said.
