Now we all know that my favorite food is Mexican food. I like it all! I love quesadillas, burritos, nachos, margaritas, chips and salsa. The list goes on. Which is one reason why my cheat day this week falls on Cinco de Mayo! But let's get through Wednesday before we talk about Saturday. Today was a busy day. I had a fashion week meeting, some clients to visit, errands to run, and I had to pack for the boys and I. So food was on the go all day. I stopped at Moes for lunch but I did stick to the diet. I ordered the wheat tortilla and none of the good toppings. I also stayed away from the chips. What I am beginning to realize is Mexican is what my cheat day is for. It just not worth the calories at a place like Moe's if you're going to go healthy. That takes a lot to say because I love me some Moe's.
However, I did talk to Lambrine, the owner of Cocina 214 in Winter Park, and they have some killer healthy options for Mexican food. You can have all the good stuff and just stay away from the carbs! I'll get a list from her of their favorite healthy options.
Here is today's breakdown:
Meal One: Smoothie no sugar
Meal Two: 1/2 turkey sandwich
Meal Three: Moe's burrito!
Meal Four: 1 Cup Kashi and 1 cup 1% Milk
Meal Five: Soup Vegetables and Chicken
Meal Six: Chocolate Milk
Workout I recommend: HOT FLOW YOGA at the Full Circle Yoga in Winter Park. Now take it from someone who is not yet a yoga guru and doesn't call her workout a practice. This class is awesome. It has poses from various styles of yoga link together to create a fluid, mind-body workout. Deep, seated stretches follow the standing sequence. The temperature is in low 90s.
You absolutely have to check this place out... Its only downfall is it is so good that people keep coming back so the classes fill up fast.
