I always recommend taking the time to reevaluate and make sure you are on track to reach your goals. What could you do better as far as your diet? How about your workouts?
A great tool to use is sparkpeople.com. Sparkpeople will tell you exactly how many calories you need to take in each day to reach your goal weight. It will also tell you where your diet is lacking as far as protein, carbs, fiber......You will be surprised about how much you learn just by jouurnaling.Somtimes we are not aware of the mindless eating that we do throughout the day. Also, dont drink your calories! Calories from what you drink can add up quickly! Once you get use to using sparkpeople you will live it and it makes dieting so much easier!!
When looking at your workouts are you challenging yourself enough? Have you ever been to the gym and every time you are there the same person is there doing the same thing on the same machine and this is going on for months without any change to their body???? After a period of time your body gets use to your exercise program. Optimal fitness integrates cardiovascular exercise, strength training and flexibility. Interval training is so important!! Intervals are brief high intensity efforts followed by brief rest or recovery period repeated several times and lasting no longer than 20 minutes!! I promise you that you will see results!
Remember not to be too hard on yourself if you have gotten off track! Tomorrow is a new day! The key to any fitness program is to initiate change that will last a lifetime!
