Louis Roney: Forward - to what?

"Forward" is the word ominously chosen by President Barack Obama as his campaign slogan this year.

“Forward” is the word ominously chosen by President Barack Obama as his campaign slogan this year. Bizarrely, that same word, forward, was the name chosen by Russia’s Lenin to represent his new concept, i.e., communism. (Shortly before Marx and Engels got the Party moving in 1848, Marx had used the word “forward” as the preliminary thrust.) The word was/is used for Socialist/Communist ideas and publications. All this happened before the royal Russian family were slaughtered by the future rulers of the Russian proletariat.

America’s President Obama has been called a “Communist” by people privy to his innermost thoughts, and there are many who see his everyday actions as steps to convert America into a communist nation.

Dr. John C. Drew knew Obama well as a.... “passionate Marxist.”

Dr. Drew, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., told Newsmax he met Obama in 1980 when Obama was a sophomore at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Drew had just graduated from Occidental and was attending graduate school at Cornell University. During Christmas break, Drew was at his girlfriend’s home in Palo Alto when Obama came over with Mohammed Hasan Chandoo, his roommate from Pakistan. “Barack and Hasan showed up at the house in a BMW, and then we all went to a restaurant together,” Drew says. “We had a nice meal, and then we came back to the house and smoked cigarettes and drank and argued politics.”

They discussed Marxism.

“Obama was arguing a straightforward Marxist-Leninist class-struggle point of view, which anticipated that there would be a revolution of the working class, led by revolutionaries, who would overthrow the capitalist system and institute a new socialist government that would redistribute the wealth,” says Drew.

“The idea was basically that wealthy people were exploiting others — this was the secret of their wealth — they were using and taking advantage of other people. Obama was convinced that a revolution would take place — a good thing.”

Drew concluded that Obama thought of himself as “part of an intelligent, radical vanguard that was leading the way towards this revolution and towards this new society.” (Sound familiar?)

We Americans too often accept things at face value, and assume people to be what they appear to be. Until I had dug a bit deeper, I thought that Obama was just a liberal Democrat, but not a guy determined to change the course of the whole American nation.

Now I find myself wondering what the day will be like when Obama stands on a platform in Washington and turns over the reins of government to a new person who will replace him. Somehow my mind staggers to a stop at that moment, and I envision that Obama himself has trouble imagining getting past that historic surrender of power.

The traditional two-term presidency set by George Washington was never extended until Franklin D. Roosevelt decided he should not give up the presidency during World War II and the people agreed with him.

I believe most of us would agree that two terms should remain the limit, barring anything short of a World War… (and even then?)

Barack Obama has spent enormous money and time touring the nation while overtly campaigning for a second term. He has been a president totally consumed with the idea of extending his presidency by popularizing his lies. Let’s stop his “forward” motion now.
