It's FRIDAY!
It's another Friday . . . . yet not just another Friday. It's a LONG weekend for Memorial Day.
I hope everyone has a SAFE and LUVly long weekend and please keep in mind what it's all about and all the men and women we need to remember, pay tribute to. My biological father was one of those, killed in Vietnam. These were people just like you and I, living their lives, with hopes and aspirations, dreams and plans to make them happen. They put such on hold to fight for us, never to return to see them fulfilled. THANK YOU, to all veterans; and, thank you especially to those who paid the ultimate price for me.
NOW . . . something I'm excited about and HOPE others will be, too. I have no idea how well it will go, but know big trees start from small seeds. So, slow to start is FINE. If we can grow from there, LUVly!
In June I will begin promoting TLT: Totally LOCAL Tuesday! The idea is for each second Tuesday of the month to encourage LOCAL residents to come out and enjoy all that LOCAL has to offer . . . eat, drink, shop, whatever you wanted to do, want to do . . . come out and do it: LOCALLY!
Summer is a different beast in Florida. Locals scatter and the tourists we're used to, well, things can be a good bit quieter. So, let's all come out and make a bit of noise . . . . Celebrate LOCAL with your neighbors.
I'll be making up signs for any businesses who wish to take part. If you wish, put them in your windows. And, I'll also put together a list of LOCAL promotions any businesses would like to offer specifically on that day each month. LOCAL has benefits for all. Let's come out and celebrate it every day, but let's really show our LUV for LOCAL each second Tuesday. More to come on this one!
Today was a busy day. I had a wonderful sit down with Randy Parsons and Erika Boesch at The Bistro on Park Avenue. I'm going to be working with them on quite a few things and help keep everyone up to date on changes they are making and plans we are weaving to have some fun while enjoying great food and drink! I'm excited about this and pretty sure they are, too! LOCAL is truly where it's at!
Also, watch out on ILUVWinterPark.com on Tuesday for a new LOCAL fitness deal you're gonna LUV! From Elite Strength & Fitness of Winter Park, I'll have a real DEAL not to be missed. Everyone by now knows there's a pretty focused theme to my efforts. Yeah . . . LOCAL! Well, I'm not the only one focused on Local.
