Congrats, Winter Park High School Crew!

There’s something extra nice about a team sport which is also called “crew.” And especially extra nice right now for the Men’s Freshman 8 team from Winter Park High School which won gold this past Saturday during the national finals! Other teams placed as well and we'll try to run them all down, as well as celebrate all of this group's accomplishments this Friday before their big year end event! The teams were greeted at the Orlando International Airport by excited parents and Local fans to celebrate the BIG triumph. Way to go, guys! Winter Park is PROUD of you all! (Yeah, we've seen you out there during your practices on Lake Maitland!) CONGRATS!

Next week this blog is diving into clothing trends in a big way! At least one day each will be devoted to women’s, men’s and children’s clothing for SUMMER, along with another day focused on vintage & vintage-inspired and one other not entirely yet determined. Trying to keep a bit of mobility, in case a new idea pops up. TREES! TREES! TREES

My column in this week’s WPM Observer is about TREES! We have so many glorious, wonderful trees which make up our broader canopy here. I’m hoping readers of this blog and the column, facebook fans and others will want to help us come up with some of the absolute area standouts. We may profile a few as we go, but we’ll also summarize and celebrate them in early July. Watch for the column this week . . . . Today’s ‘Give A Dog A Home’ comes from Pet Rescue by Judy. Meet Zuileka. She's all dressed up in her pink bandana and HOPING for some place to go! She came in to Judy's Pet Rescue with her sister, Zena, but she's already found her new furever home. Zuileka is good with other dogs, cats and kids!
