Holiday window contest & wristband promotion begins

The Holiday Window Contest, beginning Saturday, Dec. 1, will feature participating downtown merchants as they transform their storefronts into works of art. The contest will be judged in two different categories, the “Design Excellence Award” and “Peoples’ Choice Award.”

To determine the winner of the Peoples’ Choice Award, the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite window display by 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. Starting Saturday, Dec. 1, patrons may vote for their favorite window online at cityofwinterpark.org/HWC

In support of our local business community, the wristband promotion encourages patrons of the “Winter in the Park” holiday ice skating rink to show their wristbands at participating merchants to take advantage of savings that can be a minimum of 15 percent off one item or special storewide savings.

For information click the “Winter in the Park” button on the city’s official website at cityofwinterpark.org and select either the “window contest” tab or “wristband” tab.
