Fiesta-themed Business After Hours on Thursday

JUNE 20

Business After Hours presented by CenturyLink will be Thursday, June 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Holler Hyundai; 1150 N. Orlando Ave., Winter Park. This event will feature a fiesta-theme including refreshments provided by Miller’s Ale House and Winter Park Country Club. Bring your amigos for a fun evening of networking with local entrepreneurs, business professionals and community leaders. The cost is $5 for Winter Park Chamber members or $15 for non-members.

The Brain Health Support Group will meet on Thursday, June 20, at 10:30 a.m. at the Winter Park Public Library. Learn practices and activities to improve brain health, preserve mental agility and prevent decline from aging. Visit wppl.org for more information.

The College Park Freedom and the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs are proud to announce their inaugural mid-season golf tournament with portions of the proceeds supporting the College Park Partnership. It’s the Small Business Education Series at 8 a.m. on June 23 at the
Winter Park Welcome Center, 151 W. Lyman Ave. Hear from the Small Business Resource Network legal team on how you can protect your small business from legal pitfalls and what you should do to avoid risk and grow your business. This panel will cover the many aspects of business law including employment issues, franchising, technology and contract agreements. The event is free for Chamber members and $10 for non-members.

A sophisticated supper club event starting with a four-course French meal and ending with a jazz concert will take place June 25 at Hannibal’s on the Square in Winter Park located at 511 W. New England Ave. The evening offers a sublime meal prepared by award-winning Chef Vincent Gagliano, followed by a jazz performance featuring singer/songwriter and unique interpreter of uncommon songs, Heather Friedman, with Chris Rottmayer on piano and Tim Franklin on bass. The Rollins Center for Lifelong Learning, which offers innovative liberal arts programming for adults 50 and older, will provide a preview of some of the courses that will be offered this fall during “An Evening at Rollins.” The evening will consist of short vignettes – presented by Rollins faculty – about some of the courses that will be offered.
