John O’Donnell, president of Insurance Consultants of Central Florida, was appointed chair of the Florida Hospital Foundation Board for Diabetes and Translational Research.

Lowndes Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., is pleased to announce that it has promoted six attorneys –– Matthew D. Armstrong, Courtney M. Dunn, Ronald D. Edwards, Jr., Richard E. Englebright, Jr., Michael S. Provenzale and Jill Davis Simon – to the level of senior associates, effective immediately. Matt, Courtney, Ronny, Richard, Mike and Jill previously served as associates at the firm.

Emerson International recently leased close to 20,000 square feet of space at its prime locations in Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Maitland and Winter Park. Kenneth Koch, commercial portfolio director at Emerson International, negotiated a new lease for 6,205 square feet of office space at 2600 Maitland Center Parkway with Canon Business Solutions. Zac Starkey, commercial associate with Emerson International, negotiated two leases –including an expansion lease with Blue Horizon Eating Disorder Services, LLC at Louisiana Office Park on Louisiana Avenue in Winter Park.

Commerce National Bank & Trust, a community owned national bank serving Winter Park, celebrated the 10th anniversary of its opening on March 12. The celebration included the dedication of the life-sized “Caracara” painting by former Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival “Best of Show” winner John Costin to its “Large Florida Bird” art collection.

Winston-James Development Company, based in South Daytona, has negotiated a new lease agreement for 2,804 square feet of office space at its Aloma Business Center on Aloma Avenue in Winter Park. Winston Schwartz, president of Winston-James Development, said Tcreative leased the space for its operations specializing in marketing and company/product branding. The new tenant is relocating from a smaller Winter Park location and has been in business for 10 years.
