The Brookshire Homecoming is a community celebration and food truck fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at Brookshire Elementary School. Invite your neighbors and friends to celebrate our wonderful new school. Bring chairs and picnic blankets for this open house and food truck festival featuring Chi Phi, Kona Dog, Monsta Lobsta, The Yum Yum Truck, Fat Daddy’s BBQ, The Crepe Company and many more. Trinity Preparatory School invites the public to join us for a performance of the theatrical production “Alice in Wonderland.” It’s at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 10, 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 12. Visit trinityprep.org for more information.

All are invited to experience “Toward Paradise,” a concert presented by the Festival Singers at Winter Park Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Admission is free, but donations will be taken. The Festival Singers are a select, auditioned choral ensemble consisting of men and women from throughout Florida. The 40th annual Winter Park Autumn Art Festival comes to Winter Park’s Central Park Oct. 12-13. Celebrate 40 years of Florida artists at a free sidewalk art show featuring more than 150 artist displays, live entertainment, children's art activities, and more! Please note: Park Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during the festival. Visit winterpark.org for more information.

Mother Daughter Tea will be served from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Rosen Shingle Creek, 9939 Universal Blvd. in Orlando. You and your little girl will enjoy light petits fours, tea, inspiring activity stations, a doll hair salon, a Chinese auction, and shopping. You don’t want to miss this inspiring experience for girls ages 5-12! Your little girl’s favorite doll is invited, too! We also ask that you bring at least one non-perishable food item to donate to the Jewish Family Services Pearlman Pantry for their Thanksgiving holiday food drive.
