SEPT. 7

It’s a Dinky Dock Landscaping Party! Come join the city of Winter Park in helping beautify and control erosion in Winter Park’s Dinky Dock Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. Visit cityofwinterpark.org for more information.

SEPT. 11

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF is pleased to present Central Florida audiences with a fresh take on William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew.” Set in the Wild West and directed by Orlando Shakes Artistic Director Jim Helsinger, “The Taming of the Shrew” begins Sept. 11 and runs through Oct. 6 at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center in Loch Haven Park. SEPT. 12

Popcorn Flicks in Central Park will follow the Park Avenue Sip and Stroll with a family-friendly movie on the lawn. “The Shaggy Dog,” presented by The Enzian will start at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 at Winter Park’s Central Park Main Stage. Bring the family, a blanket or some chairs, and a picnic for family fun under the stars.

SEPT. 13

The Art & History Museums – Maitland (A&H) concludes its 2012-2013 Summer Concert Series on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. with a concert by Central Florida band The Master Blasters. The Summer Concert Series, held on the second Friday of every month from May to September, takes place in the A&H’s beautiful Main Garden, located at 231 W. Packwood Ave. in Maitland. The series is presented by the A&H Associates, volunteer corps of the Art & History Museums – Maitland in partnership with Performing Arts of Maitland.

The Master Blasters take the stage on Sept. 13 with a program of music that audiences are sure to enjoy. While the sound is new, this band is comprised of seasoned professional musicians with a combined experience of more than 50 years at top venues across the nation. Band members are Rick Perry, lead guitar and vocals; Rob Reedy, lead vocals, guitar and percussion; and Christopher Ward, vocals and keyboard. This band creates an explosion of soul, rock, and rhythm and blues.
