Rollins soccer team finishes with No. 2 ranking
Falling in the national championship, the Rollins College women’s soccer team concluded their magical season ranked No. 2 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II National Poll. The ranking is the highest in the program's history. Rollins finished the year second in the nation in total assists (70), assists per game (3.02) and points per game (9.04) and third in goals scored (69), total points (208) and scoring offense, averaging an even three goals per game. The Tars were also one of just six teams in the country to win at least 20 games, finishing with an overall record of 20-3. 2014 National Champion Grand Valley State (22-2-2) finished No. 1 while College of Saint Rose (21-1-3), Colorado School of Mines (16-2-6) and Columbus State (19-1-1) finished 3-4-5. In the SSC, Saint Leo finished the year ranked No. 15 and Barry concluded their season at No. 18.
Local Realtor wins national award
Orlando Realtor Lou Nimkoff, a member of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association Board of Directors and chairman of the Orlando Regional Commercial Council, has received a National Commercial Award from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Each year, NAR honors those Realtors who are accomplished in commercial real estate by celebrating their local achievements. Award nominees must have received an award from a local Realtor association, state Realtor association, community organization, or brokerage to be eligible for a National Commercial Award. Nimkoff is the 2013 Florida Realtors Commercial Realtor Achievement Award recipient.
Local real estate firm negotiates three lease agreements
Hold-Thyssen Inc., a real estate services firm, recently negotiated three new lease agreements for professional office space in downtown Winter Park. Darby Hold, transaction specialist for Hold-Thyssen Inc., negotiated a lease representing New England Partners, LLC, landlord of the New England Building at 230 S. New York Ave. The new tenant, Ashley C. Winship P.A., a real estate planning law practice, leased Suite 200 with 771 rentable square feet. Brandon Humes with BREC Properties LLC represented the tenant. Hold also negotiated two new executive office suite leases in The Albors at 5971 Brick Court on behalf of landlord Albors Properties. Orozco Wellness Center LLC, a group of practitioners who coach on nutrition for wellness, leased a 240 square foot office, and Pure Dezign Inc., a creative firm that services corporate marketing teams and advertising agencies, leased a 186 square foot office. No additional brokers participated in the transaction.
