VFW band looking for new members

Veterans of Foreign War Post 2093 in Orlando has the only VFW community band in Florida. They are looking for new members, especially percussionists. Have you always wanted to play in a community band? The band has been performing for more than 25 years and practice every week. All rehearsals are from 7 to 9 p.m. at 4444 Edgewater Drive in Orlando. They perform 12 to 15 annual special occasion concerts. New members are invited to join to make music. Audiences are welcome. Rollins awards 1996 alumna

Rollins College recently awarded Carla Borsoi, vice president of customer experience at iMATCHATIVE Inc., with its 2014 Alumni Service Award. The recognition honors alumni who provide leadership to Rollins through volunteerism and acts of service.

Borsoi graduated from Rollins College in 1995 with an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business. Her recent award highlights the many volunteer roles she has held with Rollins since her graduation, including head of Crummer’s San Francisco City Club, an Alumni Event Steering Committee host, a charter member of the President’s Leadership Council and volunteer with the Alumni Career Network.
