Rollins launches Zipcar on campus

Rollins College launched a new partnership this week with Zipcar, the world’s leading car sharing network, to offer a Zipcar car-sharing program on campus. The convenient transportation option is now available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for students, faculty, and staff ages 18 and older, as well as members of the local community ages 21 and over. Rollins will initially offer two vehicles near Hauck Hall: a Ford Focus and a Ford Escape. Visit zipcar.com/rollins for more information.

Mayflower resident wins book challenge

Residents at The Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park read hundreds of books during a summer reading challenge in partnership with the Winter Park Public Library. Winner Sue Dyer read 21 books and was presented with a prize bag from the library’s director of civic engagement, Ruth Edwards.

PR agency takes home awards

Costa Communications Group, a full-service PR and marketing agency in Winter Park, recently received six awards at the Florida Public Relations Association’s statewide Golden Image Awards competition, a program that recognizes outstanding public relations campaigns and results in Florida. CCG was the recipient of one Golden Image Award, two Awards of Distinction and three Judges Awards, which are given to outstanding entries that achieve maximum results on a limited budget.
