Local doctor receives D.A.C.C.P. degree
Only 51 chiropractors worldwide have a Diplomate in the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics degree, and Dr. Dan Yachter is the only local D.A.C.C.P chiropractor currently serving the state of Florida. He has completed the additional 400 hours of intense training including study and research projects, public education, clinical application, and classroom hours, and has passed the final Diplomate exam, achieving Diplomate status from the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. His Central Florida practice specializes in chiropractic care for children from birth through age 18, in addition to family care, and offers the most up-to-date information and skills necessary pertaining to the care of children and pregnant mothers.
Morse Museum to increase admission rate
On Jan. 2, 2016, the admission rate at the Morse Museum will increase by $1 for adults and seniors. The Museum has not had a rate increase since 2010. It is the Museum’s goal to continue to offer relatively low admission prices that allow for broad accessibility to the collection. There are also many free opportunities to view the collection, including free admission every Friday night from November through April. The Morse is owned and operated by the Charles Hosmer Morse Foundation and receives additional support from the Elizabeth Morse Genius Foundation. It receives no public funds. Admission prices as of Jan. 2 are as follows: $6 for adults, $5 for seniors (age 60 and older), $1 for students and free for children under 12.
