Louis Roney: Mix and match

All the people who run this country, both Democrats and Republicans, say we are broke! We can’t afford to help our own veterans, seniors, orphans, children, etc. But over the last several years politicians have directed cash aid in billions and billions of dollars to Palestine, Libya, Egypt, Mexico, Russia, Pakistan, Haiti, Jordan, Kenya, Sudan, Nigeria, Uganda, Congo, Ethiopia, South Africa, Senegal, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kazakhstan, Iraq, etc. And most of those folks hate our guts!

Meanwhile our military is being cut, our soldiers have had their benefits reduced, we are denying help to our veterans physically and mentally damaged in war, and our government has gone back on its promise of free medical care.

Retired seniors on fixed incomes have had their taxes raised and their incomes sent to these inimical countries. Seniors are also having medical benefits curtailed as well.

Our own citizens receive no aid unless they are unemployed and/or have small children to support. Nor do citizens get any breaks, while our government (and religious organizations) pour hundreds of billions of dollars and tons of food, water, bedding, tents, clothes, doctors and medical supplies into foreign countries and the illegals within our borders. America: Where brave veterans damaged for life wait for government assistance. Our elderly are going without needed medication and the mentally ill without treatment. And for all of us, our safety is at risk because prisoners are being released onto the streets for “lack of funds” and “Sanctuary Cities.” And as for the problem of “illegals?” Haven’t touched that one! Suppose we give “our working countrymen” the same support our leaders are giving to everyone else.
