The City Council met at 6:30 p.m. on July 13 in the City Hall Chambers. Below is a synopsis of that meeting.

A presentation was scheduled: Mayor Dale McDonald presented SYNERGY HomeCare’s Kelleigh Klein with a Certificate of Welcome.

Public Hearings included:

• Ordinance – Amending Chapter 5.5. Elections

• Ordinance – Non-Exclusive Construction and Demolition Franchise Agreement – Progressive Waste Solutions

• Ordinance – Petition No. 2014-04 (ALU) 500 North Maitland Avenue, Barry Kalmanson

• Ordinance - Petition No. 2015-01 (ALU) 1875 South Orlando Avenue, Don Reid Ford

• Ordinance - Petition No. 2015-02 (ALU) Orange County Parcel ID No. 27-29-29-8616-00-020, Lot 2, Summit South – Phase 5

• Ordinance – Abandoning a portion of Albemarle Road

• Ordinance – Abandoning (two) portions of city right-of-way

The Consent Agenda was approved as presented:

• Approval of the City Council Meeting Minutes of June 22, 2015

• Approval of the City Council Library Board Workshop of June 17, 2015

• Adoption of Revised Pre-Disciplinary Action Policy and Procedure

• Authorization of Contract with Lock & Door Specialists Inc. for Public Works Security Cameras

• Authorization of Contract with Lock & Door Specialists Inc. for Cell Tower Access Control & Security Cameras

• Resolution of Accepting Transfer of Property Tax Parcel # 35-21-29-8636-00-341 from Orange County

There was a public period where residents wished to be heard.
