Local UPS drivers recognized
The following UPS drivers were recently inducted into UPS’s prestigious Circle of Honor for achieving 25 years of accident-free driving: Paul Lott of Maitland and Richard Alvarez, David Carlson, Douglas Crosby, John Nickerson and James Piastuch of Orlando. They, along with 79 elite drivers from Florida are among 1,445 newly inducted into the company’s honorary organization.
Tech Center announces new program
Orange County Public Schools Mid-Florida Tech campus announced a new partnership with the Florida Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) to introduce a state of the art, first-of-its-kind training program for those interested in entering the automotive industry as a service advisor consultant. This 390-hour program provides graduates with the opportunity to enter a high-wage, in-demand career in automotive sales and service. The program is designed to provide students with 240 hours of classroom instruction and 150 hours of dealership training with the culminating goal of graduates becoming employed in dealerships as a service advisor consultant.
Health counselors purchase assets
Mental health counselors Patricia D. Hall and Jacqueline E. MacKay have purchased the assets of The New Leaf Center, an outpatient mental health treatment center in Winter Park that specializes in treating clients with addictive disorders. Hall and MacKay have practiced as therapists at the center for 13 and seven years respectively, and take over the practice from Dan Crockett, who founded the outpatient treatment center with his wife and New Leaf Center office manager Darlene Crockett.
