Rollins College ranked as ‘best value’

Rollins College was recently named in the ranking of best value colleges in the state of Florida by BestValueSchools.com. The ranking, which was published in October, was created using National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator and PayScale data to identify the schools based on graduation rate, net price, acceptance rate and a 20-year net return on investment. Rollins College, which ranked 24th, is noted for its aviation program and Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps in addition to its traditional academic programs.

Winter Park Land Company hires two new employees

Mark and Dorl Squires have recently joined the Winter Park Land Company. Mark is a Lake Placid, N.Y. native. After graduating from Dartmouth College and the U.S. Army O.C.S., he came to Florida, became a Realtor and has enjoyed a successful career, specializing in Winter Park area properties. A past chair of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, he calls Winter Park a 'New England town with Florida weather'. Dorl is from Spruce Pine, N.C., and after following an older sister to Florida, she pursued a career in retail sales and credit. In real estate since the 1980s, she works with Mark. She’s an avid golfer, gardener and raises butterflies.
