The Church of the Messiah in Winter Garden held its Blessing of the Animals Sunday, Oct. 4, with the Rev. Tom Rutherford officiating.

Messiah hosts this event each year to mark the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. Many attendees brought their furry critters to be blessed, and a few children carried their stuffed animals.
