The City Council met at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 in the City Hall Chambers. Below is a synopsis of that meeting.

Two presentations included a special recognition of Police Department and Fire Department personnel and an Independence Lane update from Mr. Bob Beaumont.

Public hearings included:

• Annual Budget – Adopt Tentative Millage Rate for Fiscal Year 2016

• Ordinance – Revising Chapter 21, Zoning, Sections 21-6, 21-9, 21-21, 23-2, and Chapter 7.5 Article VII

The Consent Agenda was approved as presented:

• Approval of the City Council Meeting Minutes of Aug. 24, 2015

• Approval of the Special Council Meeting Minutes of Sept. 8, 2015

• Approval of the Community Redevelopment Agency Workshop Minutes of Aug. 27, 2015

• Receipt of the Transportation Advisory Board Meeting Minutes of July 9, 2015

• Receipt of the Lakes Advisory Board Meeting Minutes of July 15, 2015

• Receipt of the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes of June 4, July 2, and July 16, 2015

• Receipt of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting Minutes of Aug. 5, 2015

• Purchase of Automatic External Defibrillators for the Police Department

• Approval of Lake Lily Boardwalk Rail Replacement

• Approval of Change Order – JMT Engineering for the Lake Sybelia Stormwater Project

• Approval of Purchase of Shade Canopy System for the tot-lot at Minnehaha Park
