Give Kids the World hosts annual gala

Once upon a time, in a seaside village, a royal family shared their kingdom with a rollicking band of tenderhearted pirates. The regal and ruffian worlds collide when the princess falls in love with a pirate. Guests from near and far, far away are invited to step into the pages of this modern storybook come to life at the 2016 Give Kids The World Black & White Gala.

Community leaders, valued partners, celebrities and generous supporters of Give Kids The World have come to know and love the organization’s annual Black & White Gala over the past 27 years. Guests of prior years’ events also know that, contradictory to its name, the classic event is full of colorful activities, entertainment and attendees.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, the Hyatt Regency Orlando welcomes the Give Kids The World Black & White Gala. The elegant evening will dazzle its guests with stunning décor, gourmet cuisine and world-class live performances. A mix of merchants and swashbuckling scallywags will welcome and amuse guests with games and activities before gala attendees head into the ballroom for an enchanting night of dinner and entertainment.

Gala guests will also enjoy one of Central Florida’s most celebrated silent auctions, which invites attendees to support Give Kids The World by bidding on treasures. Give Kids The World Black & White Gala raises funds to provide magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses. Since 1986, more than 146,000 children and families have had their dream vacations fulfilled at the one-of-a-kind whimsical village.
