Winter Park City Commission Seat 3 Candidate Lambrine Macejewski has announced she's pulling out of a debate that was set for Wednesday, Feb. 10. The candidate cited recent stories and interviews that she said point to potential for a biased debate.

The debate is organized by the Winter Park Voice, an online publication self-described as a "policy and issues news magazine."

"In light of recent actions and a deeper and disheartened understanding of the inner workings of the Winter Park Voice, I have decided to withdraw my participation in your upcoming debate scheduled for this Wednesday evening, February 10," Macejewski wrote in an open email addressed to the Voice Tuesday.

UPDATE: Pete Weldon, running for Seat 4, announced Tuesday that he also would sit out the debate if Anne Mooney, editor of the Winter Park Voice, would not release names, addresses, dates of payment, and dollar amounts received from all contributors to Winter Park Voice since inception. He requested those figures by noon today (Wednesday).

Weldon did not receive that information, which Mooney said she would not release. Weldon confirmed he was dropping out of the debate at about 2 p.m. today.
