As a former mayor of Winter Park, I would like to encourage my fellow citizens to join me in voting for Lambrine Macejewski for City Commissioner, Seat 3.
Lambrine is a businesswoman, an accountant by training and an employer who helped create 60 new jobs during the recession. She is a partner and co-owner of a local restaurant, Cocina 214, just off Park Avenue. She is the past president of the Park Avenue Merchants Association. Her community leadership includes serving on Winter Park’s Keep Winter Park Beautiful and Sustainable Advisory Board, the Winter Park History Museum Board of Directors, the Leadership Winter Park Alumni Council and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce.
Lambrine is passionate about helping our community and those in need, including our “four-legged citizens.” She invests in our community. Her restaurant has sponsored and donated to over 75 charities last year alone. Lambrine has personally served over 350 meals for those in need at the Hannibal Square Holiday Party and organized the annual “Running of the Chihuahuas,” to benefit Winter Park Lost Pets and a Cause 4 Paws rescue.
She is committed to low taxes, responsible budgeting, a strong police department, undergrounding of power lines and to protecting Winter Park from out-of-scale development. In light of a recent news report concerning her opponent, Lambrine has also proposed a “Conflict of Interest Ethics Reform” plan that would prohibit Winter Park elected officials from accepting political donations from vendors bidding on city contracts.
Lambrine would be the fresh leadership we need on the City Commission.
Sincerely,
David A. Johnston
