Goldenrod Parade and Festival arrives!

Come out to the Goldenrod Festival and Parade on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Goldenrod Station, located at 4755 N. Palmetto Ave. It all starts with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by a pumpkin decorating contest, a parade down Aloma Avenue, and a cookout.

The pancake breakfast starts at 8 a.m., followed by a fun pumpkin decorating contest at 10 a.m. After that, get out to the sidewalk along Aloma Avenue for the parade as it heads east through Goldenrod starting at 11 a.m. and going through noon. Expect to see dozens of floats, cars, trucks, police vehicles and more. Then head to the cookout, which is from noon to 2 p.m. And while it's all going on, visit the Goldenrod Museum from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
