New Hope for Kids seeks volunteers

New Hope for Kids provides specialized support to children and families grieving the loss of a loved one and grants wishes to children with life challenging illnesses in Central Florida. They are in need of volunteers for their Center for Grieving Children. Volunteers must: supervise kids while siblings participate in activities; be at least 16 years of age and have parental consent if under 18 years of age; submit to and pass a background screening; sign a confidentiality agreement; commit to assigned days and times; be willing to change wet diapers/clothes; be willing to assist in clean up and set up duties; and receive training on reflection to be in line with program policy and family expectations. They ask that you attend a one-hour orientation for this volunteer position. Orientation is one hour prior to assigned day at their center, located at 544 Mayo Ave. in Maitland.

Gruber named Profile Services Specialist

ProductionHUB, a global network of production-related crew and vendors that matches open jobs and projects with a pool of vetted talent, is pleased to announce the appointment of Winter Park resident Sara Gruber to the position of profile services specialist. As profile services specialist, Gruber works with production freelancers and vendors around the world to help them create and maintain effective online profiles. Prior to joining ProductionHUB, she served in customer service, administrative, web design and copywriting roles. She is a graduate of New College of Florida with a degree in humanities.

Allegro names executive director

Allegro is pleased to announce that Debbie Michelet has joined the community as executive director. Michelet will directly oversee the sales and operations of Allegro located in Winter Park, set to open in 2017. She will focus on creating a resident-centered community with first-rate care, services and amenities. Michelet has been in the senior living industry for 30 years and has industry experience in all levels of management and operations.
