What is your favorite sports team?
I love the Boston Red Sox, and I love the Seattle Seahawks. My family is all from Boston. This summer we went on a tour of Harvard and we saw a Red Sox game. It was one of Papi’s last games. It was so cool.
What’s your biggest strength on the softball field?
Batting is nine times out of 10 what I’m really good at. It’s where I feel most comfortable.
What do you do for fun when you’re not playing softball?
I’m president of six clubs at Lake Highland, and I’m currently in my AP studio art class. Right now, I’m doing digital art.
What’s your favorite part about being a Highlander?
I have been here for six years, and for those six years, I have just always felt like I was part of a family. I can’t stress that enough.
What’s your favorite subject in school?
I really love history. I just think it’s the coolest thing, because you can always learn from it. It’s cool to see how we got to where we are.
Do you have a lucky number?
Twenty-seven. It’s a really crazy story. My dad was born June 27. My parents got married July 27. I was born Aug. 27. My mom was born Sept. 27. We got one of our dogs on Oct. 27. It’s the day. You never forget a birthday or anniversary.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
I would want to be able to fly, because I drive an hour to get to school every day on I-4 and it is horrible. Flying over the cars would be really nice.
