Although there are few weeks before the start of football season, the Winter Park High School marching band already is getting prepared.
Under a blazing sun, band members were put through the motions on marching techniques while they learned to play as a unit during their marching band summer camp, which was held on the baseball field on campus. The band will get its first taste of action at Sept. 8 at home, when the Wildcats take on Wekiva.
