Fighters for social justice were recognized at Central Florida's Jobs with Justice Art of Solidarity award dinner and art show on Friday, Dec. 15. The event, held at the Orlando Museum of Art, celebrated figures that have worked to improve social and economic conditions in Central Florida. Awards were given to Monivette Cordeiro for her investigative reporting with the Orlando Weekly as well as the Sodexo workers at Walt Disney World working for union representation. Guests sipped drinks and looked at various pieces of artwork provided by invited artists before the presentation began.
