It was a Sunday night that was filled with song and dance as Winter Park’s Calvary Assembly Church held Believe: A Nostalgic Musical Experience.
In collaboration with Macy’s, Ms. Dianne Garvis, founder of Tiaras of Hope and co-founder of the non-profit Good Neighbor program, helped lead the way to put on the night’s event — which helped raised money for Make-a-Wish.
Admission into the event, which featured a throwback motif of classic Christmas songs and classic holiday films, was as easy as filling out a card to Santa. With each letter received, Macy’s donated $1 to Make-a-Wish.
For just over two-hours, the church’s large auditorium was filled with musical performances by Garvis, the 34th Street Orchestra, Kystof Srebrakowski, and the Santa Project Players. The night also included special performances from the Sundancers Baton Twirlers.
