Lake Lily Park was full of festivities and holiday cheer for the city of Maitland’s Season of Light celebration on Saturday, Dec. 1. The family event had a number of jolly activities including a snow slide, carnival games, face painting, and even the chance to meet Santa Claus himself. Families picked up food from vendor trucks before settling down for respective performances from the Maitland Middle School jazz band, chorus, chamber orchestra as well as the Dommerich Elementary School choir, Ballet South and the Maitland Colby Studio Dancers. Mayor Dale McDonald marked the beginning of the season with a christmas tree lighting.
