It was the start of an exciting new chapter for the city of Maitland as city leaders and developers held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Maitland City Centre on Friday, Oct. 5. The 35,000-square-foot, mixed-use project at 190 Independence Lane, covers a three-acre city block and reaches six stories high at its peak, with a six-story parking garage to match.
Maitland also celebrated the re-opening of Independence Lane with Getdown Downtown – a block party with vendors, games and food trucks that will continue as a monthly event for the city.
