The Daughter's of the American Revolution's William P. Duval chapter celebrated September in style with an official charter signing at the Winter Park Racquet Club on Wednesday, Sept. 12. Commissioner Sarah Sprinkel arrived to address the gathered crowd before Florida State Regent Dawn Lemongello arrived to sign the Winter Park chapter's official charter. The organization, which was founded in 1890 is composed of women descended from American Revolution patriots, works to promote historic preservation and education. The Duval chapter is currently selling snacks to raise funds for sailors at the Mayport Naval Station as part of the Project Patriot initiative.
