The Food for the Poor nonprofit put on another successful fundraiser with its 19th annual Celebration of Hope Gala on Saturday, Sept. 29. The gala, hosted in the Panzacola Ballroom at the Rosen Shingle Creek, had guests competitively bidding on gifts and art pieces at the silent auction before sitting down for dinner. The nonprofit aimed to raise enough funds to build 30 homes, each costing around $7,200, in Thomazeau, Haiti through their House Rally - a fast paced bidding competition that closed out the night.
