Maitland Middle School honored one of its most storied and respected coaches on Wednesday, Feb. 20, as it officially dedicated and named its basketball court after former basketball coach Dale K. Rider.
During his career from 1963 to 1994, Rider led the Maitland Middle School basketball team to three county championships (1973, 1979, 1984) and taught thousands of students important life skills.
