Many pups were sporting sombreros and colorful outfits for the occasion, and more than 100 dogs competed in the races. At the end of the day, 5-year-old Beans — owned by Winter Park resident Kevin Favis — ousted last year’s winner, Zeus, for the crown. All proceeds from the event went to the Winter Park Lost Pets and the Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida organizations.
