The Committee of One Hundred of Orange County has made a monetary donation to the Oakland Police Department that will assist with the purchase of ballistic shields and vests.

This equipment will help better protect officers in the field.

“I would like to thank The Committee of One Hundred for this generous gift and their charitable support to the men and women of the Oakland Police Department,” Oakland Police Chief John Peek said. “This donation will go a long way to help modernize and protect our personnel should they need to respond to extreme situations and encounters.”

The Committee of One Hundred of Orange County is a nonprofit focused on law-enforcement agencies.
