Winter Garden police respond to shooting

One juvenile was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Winter Garden Police Department responded to a call of a shooting just after midnight Sunday, Feb. 13.

The shooting took place near East Bay and 11th streets. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a juvenile victim lying in the yrad of 1030 E. Bay St. with gunshot injuries. The individual was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, witnesses in the area said there were several individuals near the intersection when they heard multiple gunshots. No other victims were located, police said, and many individuals in the area were uncooperative with the investigation.
