Residents in Windermere joined the town’s police department to fish among the lakes at the fourth annual Cops & Bobbers event Saturday, Sept. 9.
Locals met at Windermere Town Hall before making the short trek down to the lake to race minnows, fish with the Windermere Police Department officers and win prizes.
Tiny bobbers, ages 3 to 6, fished along the shoreline, while children ages 7 to 17 had the opportunity to ride on a boat with police officers.
The event was sponsored by the Windermere Police Department Foundation and Get Hooked Bait & Tackle.
