PHOTOS: Back to School Bash and backpack giveaway

The 2024-25 school year is right around the bend in West Orange, and to get kids and their families not only excited about getting back in the classroom but also ready to succeed, the city of Winter Garden hosted Back to School Bash at Zanders Park & Bouler Pool Saturday, Aug. 2.

Along with the event being full of fun activities for the kids — such as a foam pit, live performances by professional jump ropers, a deejay filling the air with fan favorite tunes and free face paintings — city staff gave each kid in attendance free backpacks, a heap of school supplies and gave away free food and drinks to the everyone in attendance at the end-of-summer celebration.
