The town of Oakland welcomes new Public Works member

Johnnell Kemp is the new assistant director of Public Works.

The town of Oakland welcomed Johnnell Kemp as the new assistant director to its Public Works team. 

The town said his dedication to service and operational excellence makes him a strong asset to the team. 

According to the town's post, Kemp has experience with municipal water and wastewater management, staff leadership, environmental compliance and more. He has a degree in public administration and a Class A Water Treatment certification. 

Kemp also recently served as Utilities Director for Dade City, where he led key infrastructure initiatives, departmental budget and regulatory programs. 

He will be assisting Oakland's Michael Parker, Public Works Director.
