New school zone speed enforcement in Oakland

The town of Oakland announced a new school zone speed enforcement beginning Monday, Aug. 11.

Oakland announced a new school zone speed enforcement for the new school year, starting Monday, Aug. 11.

According to its Facebook page, warning citations will be given to drivers going 10mph or more over the speed limit. 

After 30 days, on Wednesday, Sept. 10, citation will be issued.

 The fine is $100. 

It’s stated that these citations will not result in points on your license.

 Pay attention while driving through a school zone and respect the flashing lights.
