Centennial walkway celebration at Central Park

Windermere is celebrating the completion of Central Park's centennial walkway at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Central Park.

Windermere is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of its centennial walkway at Central Park.

The event will start at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Oakdale Street, Windermere.

"This walkway is a meaningful part of our town's 100-year celebration, and we're excited to commemorate its completion with this Centennial event," the town posted on Facebook.

Attendees include Mayor Jim O'Brien, the Parks & Recreation committee, the Centennial committee and the town council.

Light refreshments also will be served at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
