The Oakland Nature Preserve wants new volunteers to join the team.

ONP is looking for volunteers to become tour guides, museum docents, environmental interpreter and greeters.

The team is hosting a training session Saturday, Sept. 27, and asks people to join if they're interested.

ONP said you don't need to be a Master Naturalist or a scientist; as long as you enjoy the outdoors and talking with people in a friendly manner, you are welcomed.

ONP offers flexible shifts and are accepting volunteers 14 years old and up.
