The friends were excited to ride in the red train car together around Water Spring Elementary’s parking lot.

Volunteers, Megan Lacey, Fernanda Mennela, Yuliana Mejias and Kristy Jennings, ran the concession stand. They replicated a traditional movie theater’s menu with popcorn, pizza, drinks and candy.
Dristen and Millicent Roberts were ready to go for the Grinch with their pizza and drinks.
Water Spring Elementary’s Drive In was a chance for friends to come together to get into the holiday spirit.

Once the sun went down, everyone quieted and set their eyes on the big screen showcasing the Grinch.

Sarah, Sean, Paul and Anna Judd waited to board the train. They said the Grinch and Home Alone are their favorite Christmas movies.
Horizon High students, Gabby Hatschbach, Celeste Aybar and Beatriz Kiss, waited at the entrance and gave each guest their wristband for entrance to the theatre.
Children had to wait patiently for their turn inside of the snow globe.
Families gathered up their lawn chairs and blankets to camp themselves on Water Spring Elementary’s basketball court for the Winter Drive In Friday, Dec. 5.
They huddled together as the sun set to watch Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Anna and Sean Judd said they love the movie and joked they’ve seen it 3,000 times.
The community came decked out in their holiday outfits and children took turns walking into a towering blown up snowglobe for a photo opportunity. In the parking lot, a train was stationed and it drove families around Water Spring’s car loop.
