Celebrating its 100-anniversary, the town of Windermere hosted a roaring twenties holiday hoopla for residents to enjoy.
With various activities and a whole lot of festivities, the night was one to remember.
Windermere Mayor Jim O’Brien began the celebration with the burial of a time capsule. Inside, there are receipts, letters from the mayor and the centennial committee, newspapers, a lego set, a book made by second graders, and more.
The time capsule will be opened in 2075.
Besides the burial of the time capsule, attendees enjoyed rock climbing, a petting zoo, an interactive deejay, arts and crafts and more, with free beverages, food trucks and a cake to celebrate the town’s birthday.
Santa Claus even made a debut at the event, surprising children and families.
