West Orange’s quarterback AJ Chung awarded Offensive Player of the Year

Orlando Touchdown Club recognized AJ Chung as Offensive Player of the Year, and seven athletes were awarded in the regular season.

West Orange football team’s quarterback AJ Chung was awarded the Offensive Player of the Year Monday, Dec. 8 at the Orlando Touchdown Club’s ceremony. 

He was recognized for his accomplishments by setting a single reason record for touchdowns in a year at West Orange with 40. The sophomore already has seven college offers from Arkansas, Perdue, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Florida Atlantic, South Florida, Rhode Island, Florida State, North Carolina, Harvard and Yale. 

During the regular season, many other West and Southwest Orange football players were recognized as the Player of the Week for their accomplishments. 

The players recognized: James Yauger, running back, Lake Buena Vista; Gavin Pritzkau, QB, Central Florida Christian Academy; Zion Matthews, RB, Dr. Phillips; Ryder Flynn, defensive back, Olympia; Kaio Oliveira, RB, Horizon; Sam Wood, RB Foundation Academy; Nolan Herman, linebacker, West Orange.
