6-year-old boy struck by car on Reams Road

Florida Highway Patrol said the boy is in critical condition. The accident took place Wednesday, Dec. 17.

 A 6-year-old boy was hit Wednesday, Dec. 17 by a 21-year-old woman on Reams Road, Windermere. 

FHP said the child was walking on the roadway when it was struck by a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, which was driving south on Reams Road. 

The woman stayed on the scene, FHP said. 

The child was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital in critical condition.

No other details were released and the crash remains under investigation.
